A purpose-fitted hard case from ProCase for AirPods Max. The outer shell is hard EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) — a lightweight, impact-resistant material that holds its shape under pressure and protects the headphones inside from drops and compression in a bag. The interior is lined with a soft velvety honeycomb-pattern foam that cushions the headphones and prevents the ear cups and headband from being scratched by the case interior. The lid has a zipped mesh pocket for accessories. The pack includes a pair of soft silicone ear cup covers that slip over the AirPods Max ear cups to protect them from scratches independently of the case. Two-way zipper opens from either direction. Available in Grey, Navy and Pink.

This listing has two versions — select the right one for how you use your AirPods Max:

• Standard Storage Case — a straightforward hard case for storing and transporting AirPods Max; the headphones sit inside and are protected by the hard shell and soft lining; suitable for travel, commuting and everyday storage; in stock in Grey, Navy and Pink
• Sleep Mode Version — designed with a cut-out or open configuration that allows the AirPods Max to enter their low-power sleep mode whilst stored; AirPods Max enter sleep mode when the ear cups are brought close together or when placed in the original Smart Case position; this version accommodates that geometry so the headphones can sleep and conserve battery whilst in the case; currently out of stock

Case Features in Detail

• Hard EVA outer shell — EVA is the same material used in premium headphone cases and protective gear; it is lightweight, slightly flexible (it absorbs impact without cracking), and maintains a rigid structure that resists compression; if a bag is overpacked or sat on, the EVA shell distributes the force around the outside rather than transferring it to the headphones; the exterior has a subtle fabric-texture finish visible in the product images
• Soft velvety honeycomb interior lining — the inside of the case is lined with a textured soft foam in a honeycomb cell pattern; this is a two-function lining: the softness prevents the headphone surfaces from being scratched by contact with the case interior, and the structured foam holds the headphones in a fixed position so they do not shift or rattle in transit
• Two-way zipper — the zipper runs around the perimeter of the case and can be opened from either end; this means you can open just the side you need without fully unzipping the case, which is more convenient when retrieving the headphones with one hand
• Zipped mesh lid pocket — the inside of the lid has a full-width mesh pocket secured with its own zip; large enough to hold the included silicone covers, a Lightning or USB-C cable, or other small accessories; keeping accessories inside the case means everything is in one place when travelling
• 2 silicone ear cup covers (included) — a pair of soft silicone covers that fit over the ear cups of AirPods Max, covering the outer surface of each ear cup; the covers protect against scratches and scuffs when the headphones are out of the case — on a desk, around the neck, or being handled; the comparison image in the product photography shows the ear cup surface without covers visibly scratched versus protected with covers in place; the covers fit with a small notch aligning to the stem connection point
